Red
Jackson Band
This excellent bluesband have been formed from the excellent Smokestack
and the The Swampthings. The Swampthings have appeared in the Blues Club
before and they started out as buskers. They were such a great band that
people started booking them for gigs and the rest his history. The new
line up is
Phil Mills (vocals, guitars, harps), Chicken-King Schultz (drums),
Lafayette Louis (Double Bass).
Armed with a double bass,
harp, guitar and drums they have developed a traditional style of blues
which has a great feelgood factor.....
J Alexander And The Blues Devils are a
South Wales Blues band. This classic 4-piece band formed as J.
Alexander and the Blues Devils in 2008 but Dave, Paul & Ian have
been playing together for 30 years in one of the most successful
British Blues bands of all time - Snatch It Back. A serious, no
frills, no bullshit Blues band...here for your pure pleasure!

Sherman Robertson Band Texas and Louisiana have always
been hotbeds of blues talent. T-Bone Walker, Gatemouth Brown,
Guitar Slim, Lightnin' Hopkins, Clifton Chenier are just a few
of the region's early blues heroes. Guitarist./Vocalist Sherman
Robertson, often called "the new kid from the old school," can
be added to that list of heros. "I use that driving,
road-cooking type zydeco groove, and put blues on top of it."
Always a big favourite at the Salisbury Club so this is a great
way to kick off the summer holidays

George Another stalwart of the Tawe Delta
Blyes club we eagerly await the return of this excellent blues
band. The great Pete Stroud on bass, formerly with Peter Green,
combined with the versatile blues drummer of the year, Sam Kelly
and topped up by the gravel blues / soul voice and electrifying
guitar style of George makes this one of our all time favourite
blues bands. If you like great solid blues with 3 of the best
musicians on the circuit don't miss this one.....

Dr Feelgood The
Legendary Christmas Blues Party is back and what a
cracker it will be with the legendary Dr Feelgood our
special guests.
Like many pub rock acts, Dr. Feelgood were known
primarily for their high energy live performances,
although studio albums like Down by the Jetty (1974) and
Malpractice (1975) were also popular. Their breakthrough
1976 live album, Stupidity, reached number one in the UK
Albums Chart (their only chart-topper). But after the
follow-up Sneakin' Suspicion, Johnson left the group due
to perceived conflicts with Lee Brilleaux. He was
replaced by John 'Gypie' Mayo. With Mayo, the band was
never as popular as with Johnson, but still enjoyed
their only Top Ten hit single in 1979, with "Milk and
Alcohol". Johnson never achieved any great success
outside of the band and fans always speculated about a
return by Johnson that never occurred.
Despite Mayo's
departure in 1981, and various subsequent line-up
changes, Dr. Feelgood continued touring and recording,
although the band then suffered an almost
career-finishing blow, when their
frontman,
Brilleaux, died of cancer on 7 April 1994. As Brilleaux
had insisted prior to his demise, Dr. Feelgood reunited
in May 1995, initially with vocalist Pete Gage, who was
then replaced by Robert Kane, formerly of The Animals II
and The Alligators, and although
still based in the UK, Dr. Feelgood continue to play
across the world.

The Steve
Gibbons Band Words such
as artistry, charisma, endurance and integrity are often
used in describing a legend. They all apply to Steve
Gibbons, who has been in the music business for over
four decades, surviving the ever-changing trends by
being himself. Regardless of venue, whether a club, pub,
festival or New York's Madison Square Garden, Steve has
the magic of enthralling an entire audience. Fans and
professional musicians are in awe of The Steve Gibbons
Band, which is one of the tightest and best in the
business of rock & roll. Whether as a solo artist with
his acoustic guitar, or fronting The SGB, or being
backed by a big band, Steve is equally at home on the
stage as a performing artist.
